Full denture wearers frequently suffer from looseness, discomfort or restricted chewing ability.

Dental implants can be used to help retain your dentures. Usually between two and four implants are used with Snap-on precision attachments to anchor dentures firmly throughout the day.

Since graduating from Guys and St Thomas’s Dental hospital Saquib has been developing his specialist interest in implantology. He attained a postgraduate Diploma in Restorative Dentistry at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute in 2009 before further developing his surgical skills as an oral surgery clinical assistant in the Maxillofacial department at Grantham Hospital.

    How many implants are required to support dentures?
    We usually recommend two implants for lower dentures and four to support uppers

    How are the dentures attached to the implants?
    Most of our dentures are fitted with Straumann locator attachments?
    These snap on attachments anchor the denture to the implants and have a range of strengths to suit individual need.

    How much will and implant retained denture cost?
    A lower full denture on two Straumann implants approximately £5000
    and an upper on four implants around £7500 assuming sufficient bone present.

    I have worn dentures for many years resulting in advanced gum shrinkage will I have enough bone to have implants?
    Before any treatment can commence we will arrange for a bone scan of your chores which will show how much phone you have and help us plan treatment
